If you have not heard of the 50 Gates, start with Bill Heidrik's article. Learn about the 700 Mantras, or Durga Saptashati, also known as Devi Mahatmya and Chandi Path here.

Since having washed my hands of institutional knowledge, realizing that there is no help from anyone anywhere, and that nobody has a clue, and the louder that they shout out dogma, politic, and canned belief systems, the greater are their own insecurities are about not having a clue. They are indeed all liars. The answer to the liar's paradox is "Yes. Yes Epimenides, all Cretans are liars and you are a Cretan, and so a liar, and in your lie, there is the obvious and glaring truth—truths are lies and lies are truth".

Truth. It's myth. It's dream. It's symbol. Understood, it shows itself to be uniformly universal, and it perceived, immediately dissolves the politically motivated denominational line-toeing that seems so important to us all. To take the truth literally is folly, as it's expression can only generate glaring paradoxes and contradictions. All world views fail. Human logic has severe limitations. The human mind is imprisoned. The Universe is trying to free us. We each night dream our own personal mythologies, individually fashioned toward our own evolution of consciousness.

It is absurd to take myth and dream literally. It is absurd to take religion literally. It is absurd to take Logos at his word in whatever he proclaims. To put it into words, by power of Logos, or of a logical premise, one must take it literally figuratively. And by the time of that accomplishment who knows what's which. The dream can no longer be distinguished from waking life. Myth is lived. Neo rises from the green goo and scratches his head at his utterly alien surroundings.

This strange complicated, befuddled and tragic little world called Earth can from this view only be perceived as one thing: A nursery for emerging consciousness. A place where matter can from within itself transcend its own limitations. Jung was right. It is not we that need saving, but the deity lost and imprisoned within matter. What can cause you to awaken? A koan? In my case, exactly that, along with being shit-all-terrified. And before that being absolutely desolate with heart-brokenness. And before that being the habitual outsider. My dad once said that his life had a lot of pain in it. Mine has as well. I've never been able to "enjoy life". My lot was to understand why. Why. Why. Why. I hated my life, and would pray that I was never born. I railed at God furious that I had not asked to be born. I drank like a fish for nearly two decades to make it all stop hurting. Killing myself with poison daily was preferable to the other pain.

And then, even during those muddled years, not being able to not ask why, I stumbled across Buddhist teachings. And then I realized that I may have actually after all have asked to be incarnated. And just like that, something within me changed. And then, the death of my father immediately followed by the devastation of a marriage that failed and the flooding back of all pain that ever was, now multiplied. This was the true transformation. All within me died a slow and tormented death. And then I was ready. I would begin to understand. Binah. Mother. Understanding.
